Thank you so very much for taking the time to volunteer to coach a team this season. Below are some items we would like to bring to your attention that will help our season run smoothly.
All games this season will be held at Five Acres Park. You need to advise the EPYSA Board as to where and what time you are holding practices so that we may have the information if needed.
We have divided the team as follows:
6U (meaning 6 and under – therefore 3, 4, 5, and 6-year-olds)
9U (meaning 9 and under – therefore 7, 8, and 9-year-olds)
12U (meaning 12 and under - therefore 10, 11, and 12-year-olds)
15U (meaning 15 and under– therefore 13, 14, and 15-year-olds)
Each team consists of 8+ players, depending on overall registration.
All players will wear an EPYSA uniform consisting of jersey, blue shorts, blue socks, shin guards, and soccer cleats. To wear the uniform correctly the jersey must be tucked in (this is enforced for all U9 and U12 teams), the socks must cover the shin guards, the cleats must be soccer ones (U6 may wear tennis shoes if necessary). During cold weather, the players may wear sweats, jackets, etc… under their uniform, not on top.
Please remind your parents to follow the Code of Conduct.
Remember our goal is to learn the game and have FUN! We are a recreation league, while competition is healthy and great, we want to emphasize sportsmanship. Keep yelling onto the fields during the game to a minimum and always be aware of your language.
Teams will be seated on one side of the field, with spectators on the other side. Please have your team to the fields 20 minutes prior to the start of your games.
Review the soccer laws and regulations we have posted, as we will follow and enforce them.
